How to Write an Ebook That Sells
From outline to published PDF: how to write an ebook people pay for, price it fairly, and sell it as a digital download without building a course platform.

Before you outline, finish this sentence:
"After reading this, you will be able to __________ without __________."
Examples that work:

If you cannot fill in the blanks sharply, the ebook idea is still too vague. Narrow it until a stranger would say "I need that."

Use a three-layer structure:

- What they will have by the end

Writing habits that finish the manuscript
Set a daily word floor, not a deadline fantasy. 500 words a day for 20 days beats a heroic weekend that never happens.
Write ugly first drafts. Edit in a second pass. I waste time when I try to make paragraph one perfect before chapter two exists.
Use working titles. "The Pricing Playbook" beats "Final_v7_REAL.pdf" in your head and on the cover.
Batch similar chapters. Write all examples one day, all checklists another.
Read aloud. Clunky sentences show up fast when you hear them.
